Celtic Museum at Hochdorf

The burial chamber discovered in Hochdorf/Enz in 1968 and excavated in 1978/79 concealed a sensational find: the intact and richly-furnished grave of an Early Celtic chieftain.

The well-preserved funerary objects provided, for the first time, deep insights into the world of the Celtic rulers. The burial mound was reconstructed in 1985, and together with the barrows found in the neighbouring "Pfaffenwäldle" and the Celtish village, now give an impression of how Hochdorf must have looked some 2500 years ago.
