Birkenkopf

Also affectionately known as Monte Scherbelino, it is the highest "mountain" in Stuttgart. The Birkenkopf rises a full 511 metres above Stuttgart, almost 300 metres higher than the Neckar. The view is incomparable and reaches far beyond Stuttgart to the Swabian Alb and the Black Forest. The owner of Tarte & Törtchen in the west of Stuttgart agrees. To climb the Birkenkopf, you can either take the bus a little way or start hiking directly from the centre on our Panoramaweg Süd-West.
