Siebenmühlental
The Siebenmühlental (lit. Seven Mill Valley) in the Schönbuch Nature Park is one of the Stuttgart Region's most popular recreational areas. In 1383 the land register already showed seven mills, which had risen to eleven by the beginning of the 20th century. The many trails through its idyllic scenery offer wonderful hikes for nature lovers. The 9-km-long Bundeswanderweg (Federal Hiking Trail), an asphalted railway line, is popular in all weathers with cyclists and inline skaters. It offers splendid views over the water meadows of the Reichenbach Valley and several of the mills. Some of these serve refreshments and are pleasant places to linger.
